When can I submit an application?

Applications will be open on the second week of every month.

Where do I submit my application?

Please email the player information portion and a journal link with the Character information portion of the application to atwmod@gmail.com. Be sure that the journal you post the application on is the journal you want to use for the character you’re applying for. Just make sure you label it ‘permanent character application’ in the subject line.

What kind of characters can I apply for?

They must be human. Please note, this doesn’t mean they had to be human in the series you are pulling them from. If you want to play Applejack from My Little Ponies, that’s fine, but she must be altered to be human. They can be unique humans, as hair and eye color can be in any shade of the rainbow, but please don’t have green skin. That’s a bit much.

Characters from all media and original characters are accepted.


What kind of jobs can my character have?

There is a list of available jobs at the club located here. Of course there are always openings for professional or even in-training subs and doms, but there are also several other portions of the club that need employees. But this is Vegas, and your character is welcome to have second jobs at casinos, coffee shops, gas stations, etc.

For clients who partake in the BDSM part of the club, or for clients who simply visit the restaurant and different events at the club, they are more than welcome to have a developed job outside the club. Feel free to make up a job that fits your character’s background and personality.


Application

Please email the player information portion and a journal link with the Character information portion of the application to atwmod@gmail.com. Be sure that the journal you post the application on is the journal you want to use for the character you’re applying for. The reason we ask for player information separately is because we highly value privacy, so the only private information on your app will be your name. Anything you decide to give out after that is at your discretion.

A mod will respond to your app as soon as possible. If the application is accepted, the response will be a comment here. However, if the mods feel there is something that needs to be reworked we will contact you privately via the contact methods mentioned on your app. As a general rule, the mods are not in the habit of arbitrarily denying characters- what is looked for the most in an application is consistency, the ability to grammar and use a spellcheck. Since this is an AU, your characterization need only have the most basic traits of the cannon character.

If your application is rejected, please to do not take it to heart. You are allowed two chances to polish up your application before it is completely denied. If for some reason you are not accepted to the community you are more than welcome to submit a new application one week after submitting the previous one or challenge the mods to further explain themselves.

If your application is approved, please friend this journal and join amongst_the_wave, atw_boardofmessage and amongstthewaveooc. If you would like to get your character settled in, feel free to ask and the mods (or even other players, in some cases) will be happy to assist.
